Location and access
A place of exceptional sunshine
Situated on the southern slopes, the Grand Queyras benefits from exceptional sunshine. The chalet of Grand Queyras is located at the entry to the village of Ste Catherine (on the southern slopes of Vars) and benefits from 2 extra hours of sunshine in comparison to the other villages of Vars and its ski station. It offers one of the best 180° views, from the slopes of Peynier to the crests of Eyssina, from the slopes of the Forêt Blanche to the village of Sainte Maire, from the Massif des Ecrins and the Pelvoux glacier while descending to Guillestre and Mont Dauphin.
